Summary

The bertsos or impromptu performances are an essential narrative tool to express opinions, feelings and events. This is why we consider that analysing the bertsolarism from 1936 to 1946, we will deepen in the memories of the Spanish Civil War and get further information about those who lived the conflict. The paper we have presented here sets out to develop that path that traces the line of the extempore Basque verses of the members of the Zapirain family.
