Summary

Globalisation is a reality, not a choice. More than just a process, it is conceived as a phenomenon of social, political, economic and technological interaction from which emanates a discourse that leads straight to society itself. Nobody ignores this phenomenon, and Security and Delinquency are object/subject of globalisation. This phenomenon is presented as a threat for the new European security space and the Basque Country is no exception. Because of this a deep and protracted reflection on Security Policies to be designed, in accordance with the new realities and social standards, is of considerable interest, and the Basque Security Administration will have to pay special attention to such policies.
