Summary

This article analyses the politics of memory used by the victors of the Spanish Civil War during the francoist regime in the town of Tolosa (province of Gipuzkoa). People who incited the revolt against the Second Spanish Republic imposed a doctrine to justify their regime in every field, public organs and daily political activity, through politics of memory. It also studies how they controlled the areas, the time and the monuments in honour of those who represented the values of the regime.
