Summary

In 1809 Humboldt accepts to guide the education reform of Prussia. He tried to train the people as active and decisive individuals of the community in a country where the influence of the enlightened ideas was nearly null. The universal nature of the Humboldt´ s educational theory and its practice in the Prussian state are studied
