Summary

This paper is an analysis of the American Revolution focused on the influence it had on the constituent power theory. American colonists declared the independence in 1776, starting up at the same time the first democratic constituent process in history. The ratifying process of the Federal Constitution gave rise to a significant ideological debate that is analyzed in part.
