Summary

Since the 1990´s the French Ministry of Education has developed various language education projects with the aim of encouraging multilingualism in schools, respecting the principle of linguistic diversity. This article focuses specifically on describing and analyzing the mechanism of the "European section" (or dimension), whose national coverage is a reflection of its success in the educational community.
