Summary

Despite their importance, interdialectal contact in the Spanish language and its consequences are subjects that are not often covered by scholars, especially in diachrony. In this sense, this paper aims to approach this matter in eighteenth-century Spanish by analysing letters which were written by a Gipuzkoa clergyman to his family, from Argentina.
