Summary

This report will expose some of the preliminary results of the as yet unfinished research on the implantation and the contribution of cyberwork in the rural areas of Catalonia and the Basque Country. Concretely, this report intends to reveal some public initiatives that are now being carried out for the promotion of the cyberwork in Catalonia. It is important to study the situation in depth and to promote cyberwork in this territorial domain, not only because of its potential in rural zones development in a context of crisis and economic restructuring, if not because of the current interest that is aroused by this type of work in which various aspects of production flexibility, new technologies and re-conceptualization of values associated with various tasks.
