Summary

This paper studies the use of socalled cultosconsonant groups in the Spanish spoken in Bilbao during the 16th to 17th centuries, in order to describe theiruse during that time; the analysis discovers that the imposition of such groups already takes place in the 17th century and is determined by various factors, such as thewords and consonants involved.
