Summary

This is a study on the proverb "Sardina que gato lleva galduda va" in its Spanish version and "Morcilla que gato lleva galdua da" , which is half Spanish and half Basque. The author does not know any other proverb of this type although he does know songs in which several languages are mixed. If the proverb is considered with the older "galdua da" form, it is easy to explain how the other proverb has been obtained
