Spanish in the Basque Country (bilingual and monolingual) offers non standard uses of native constructions explicable as a result of the indirect influence of ; Basque. However, the non-existence of full structural parallelism between ; constructions in both languages or the internal trends of the Spanish language prevent other new uses passing from the locus of contact (the bilingual mind) to the system.
