SummaryIn this dissertation the author discusses the role of nourishment as an evolutionary pressure factor and analyses the relationship between diet, physical state and genetic composition of human populations. The author then considers the importance of the nutritional factor in the secular trends of the ontogenetic process and of the repercussion that nourishment has had on the incidence of determined characteristics or diseases in different populational or ethnic groups.
