Summary

The present paper deals with the nutrition of adolescents in Navalcarnero, a rural population, sudwest from Madrid (Spain). Breakfast consumption, fitness and cognition were analized in 197 youths (107 girls and 90 boys), 15-16 years of age. A considerable increasein consumption of protein and fat are observed. On the other hand, a decrease in carbohydrate, dietary fiber, calcium, magnesium, iron, folate and E, B6 vitamins are observed.
