Summary
The main aim of this study on Busturia is the analysis of the repression exerted on the population during the implementation of the dictatorial regime, paying special attention to the proper s of the reprisals. This paper also analyses other social aspects closely linked to the fi rst stage of early Francoism in the municipality, such as exile, national-Catholicism, rationing or mobilisation of the population in the rebel army or in totalitarian groups.
