Summary
The author intends to locate "the difference" of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country and the Statutory Community of Navarre in the Spanish legal system. He then analyses the doctrinal currents, on which this differential fact is projected, starting from political, cultural and linguistic bases that clearly prove the nature of Basque specificity. The uncertainties of the present in this field are analyzed from a legal standpoint, as an advance formulation for a most adequate recognition of the political future of the peninsular Basque Country, and from various doctrinal positions on the reality of the Spanish Autonomous State.
