Summary

Through the processes of globalization very diverse aspects of sociocultural life are interconnected, establishing a complex dialectic with local particularities, from which results the synthesis of glocalization. That leads to the reinforcement and / or resistance of these particularities in the face of globalization homogenization, and to the reconstruction of local identities, among other responses, by the performative power of popular festivals. The main interdisciplinary theoretical contributions to this topic and the examples of glocalization in the of communication, football and landscape are studied here.
