Summary

Ignacio Zuloaga (1870-1945) was 66 years old when the civil war started and, if one wanted to make a historiographic revision of that painter, everything that happened as from then has been swallowed up by a general synthesis of his biography and his artistic assessment. This communication briefly approaches the propaganda use carried out by the Franquist regime, initially of the image of the painter, and later on of his work.
