Summary

The present volume, Naturzale 17, as opposed to this journals? two previous volumes, which focussed more on the publication of topics studied in seminars and congresses in general, presents assorted research that has been carried out with Eusko Ikaskuntza research subsidies on topics related with the Basque Country. Included is a wide variety of topics, since this is studied at the species level, as is the case of the Schistidium (bryophyte) gender or the Podarcis hispanica (Iberian lizard) up to the ecosystem level. This is the case of marshy or birch or beech forest ecosystems and also other very important subjects like their problems in terms of situation, management and operation.
