Summary
Situated in the oriental Alava plain, the town of Agurain was destroyed by an enormous fire in 1564. Rebuilt by its inhabitants, the stone coats-of-arms of the new buildings, cleft as from those years, evoke in us, by means of heraldry, the structure of their villages, their social virtues and shortcomings, the early Medieval past and their legacy.
