Summary

This article emphasises that both the notion of citizenship and that of social participation or social mobilisation continue inscribed in a generalised reality. This is a reality that is conditioned by the system of gender in which the current models of citizenry and participation represent certain forms of exercising power and certain cultural norms that are conditioned by gender inequalities.
