Summary

The latest issue of Zainak. Cuadernos de Antropología-Etnografía has been published, providing new reflections and analyses of anthropological interest. Unpublished themes and concerns that allow us to continue deepening the socio-cultural study of Euskal Herria, to which are added those carried out in more or less distant but 'always close' geographical areas, with which we can open up a picture of great comparative value.

Number 40 coincides with forty years of a long and fruitful journey that began in 1983 and will continue until 2022, continuing in 2023. An itinerary that reflects the historical journey of anthropology both in this country and in other cultural areas, carried out according to its different trends and theoretical and conceptual approaches. Four decades that show an arduous, constant and laborious work of approach and reflection mainly from social and cultural anthropology, where researchers are still determined to elaborate 'that' which we understand as anthropological knowledge.
