Summary

This new issue of Ikastaria fundamentally reflects the content of the IV Sessions on plurilingual education organised in December 1998 by the Gaztelueta Foundation in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Numerous teachers and researchers in the field of linguistic pedagogy gathered in these Sessions to share each participant?s experiences, and to detail their achievements. In these pages of Ikastaria the reader will find numerous opinions generated in various multi-linguistic and cultural areas. This was the purpose of the group that organised the sessions; and also of the director of Ikastaria when choosing the various motions. Within such motions we can find various experiences, both from Europe and America.
